Musketeer versus Cuirassier, 30 Years' War

Description

A Danish Musketeer faces the attack of an Imperial Cuirassier during the 30 Years' War.
He is as good as dead.

I couldn't find any reference of a musketeer of that era with such a long coat, but I thought it would be kinda cool. So this may not be entirely historically accurate. The Cuirassier though is more accurately dipicted, I think. And at last, I didn't mess up the horse.

This is the pen version of a pencil drawing: this one

Ah, a criminally under represented era now a days, I appreciate that you bring it to life with these drawings. If you don't mind my saying, I think the cuirassier and his steed are well done, the armor looks well done. I like how he wears gauntlets instead of gloves, most heavy cavalry usually just wore one gauntlet or none at all, as gauntlets could interfere with loading their pistols (I don't mean to come off as a smart ass and I apologize for it) but I've seen plenty of cuirassier harnesses come with matching gauntlets, so you have nothing to fear about the accuracy of your portrayal of him. As for the musketeer, I agree that he looks cool, as for the length of his coat, well, maybe it's part of his winter wear?
